Auszeichnung für den Song, der beim trinidadischen Carnival (in jüngster Zeit auch auf anderen karibischen Inseln) an den offiziellen Judging Points von den Carnivalsgruppen / Mas Bands am häufigsten gespielt wird.

Geschichtlicher Hintergrund

Der Roadmarch wird in der Tradition der Kalindas gesehen, die bei den canboulays gesungen wurden. Die Pattern dieses Liedguts dürfte stilbildend für die späteren Roadmarches gelten. Außerdem ist es verbunden mit dem Lavway (später Leggo), ein speziell für die Straßengesänge der Mas Bands komponiertes Lied.
